It’s a local favorite guaranteed to please a crowd. It’s Mango Salsa and if you’ve sampled any of the mouthwatering seafood here, you’ve probably seen it on the menu of your favorite restaurant. There’s nothing as tasty as a juicy, Florida grown mango and nothing will make your recipes pop like the addition of the popular fruit.Mango Salsa is a delightful topping for fish and it also makes a memorable dip for tortilla chips. Its uses are limited only by your imagination. When you get home, you might just come up with several other uses as well. No matter how you slice it or dice it, your guests will love the palate-pleasing flavor of mangos.
Recipe:
2- Mangos
1- Large Tomato
1- Small Onion
1t – Fresh Cilantro
1- Jalapeno Pepper
1- Lime
Peel, remove seeds and chop mangos. Dice tomato, and then mince onion, cilantro and jalapeno, remembering to remove the seeds from the jalapeno. Squeeze the juice from the lime. Stir everything together in a large bowl and season to taste with salt and pepper. Serves 8.
