Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex – Win, Win, Win for families!

Were you thinking about visiting Kennedy Space Center this summer but unsure if it will check the boxes for all the discerning members of the family? Well, I’m here to tell you that Kennedy Space Center is the place to go! Let me tell you why…

The first thing I loved about our experience is that they are far more lenient with what items you can take into the park. If you are a family on a budget, you can pack your lunch, waters, and snacks without a hassle at the entrance!

The next and most important highlight for me as a Mom, is that my kids are still talking about our visit and asking when we can go back. There is truly something for everyone. We were a three generations family and it was so easy to split up and re-join based on the preferences of all. The park is small enough to do in one day without stress and fury and everyone was happily learning the history of space exploration without sacrifice or long lines! To me, that’s a win, win, win!

There is interactive technology fun for all ages at every turn, and the attention to detail and history is truly remarkable! My daughter loved the small kids play area and I appreciated a quiet moment to recoup my thoughts while my son and parents enjoyed the shuttle launch experience.

We loved looking at $10,000 moon rocks inside the huge two-story gift shop where we didn’t break the bank and their goodies are still being used and considered ‘cool!’ We enjoyed an interactive discussion inside the Apollo Saturn Center and learned all the different ways space exploration touches our everyday lives. I looked around at all the faces aged 3-83 and every person was engaged, not a single glance at a cell phone or complaint from a child. Kennedy Space Center is an experience that your family won’t forget that is sure to encourage learning, discovery, and exploration for a lifetime!
