The 14th Annual Fantasy Lights Festival by the Rotary Club of Flagler County and Presenting Sponsor, Advent Health-Flagler, opens on Saturday, November 30th with the City of Palm Coast’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Food will be available for purchase but the event is FREE.  The opening night event begins at 6:00 p.m., while 6:30 is the starting time for all other nights except one.  Another special night that begins at 6:00 is the Taste of the Holidays, that will be held on Thursday, December 5th.  This night features more than a dozen local restaurants serving their specialties for $1-$3 portions.

Forty-nine animated, dazzling light displays surround the Central Park Lake for a ½ mile walking tour that is free to the public (with courtesy golf carts available for handicapped or elderly visitors).  Donations accepted to support Rotary’s charitable donations to non-profit causes and eradication of polio world-wide.  Performances by local singers and musicians on several nights as well as SNOW on weekends, Santa’s Merry Train Ride, and Elf Houses for the kiddies to enjoy.  Santa himself will be  there every Sunday before Christmas!  Bruster’s Real Ice Cream will have a food truck nightly serving hot chocolate, marshmallows for roasting and their usual drinks and food.

Florida Agricultural Museum is hosting the inaugural Sip ~ a Florida Beverage Festival at 7900 Old Kings Road North, Palm Coast, on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Sip Festival, in and around the cozy Caldwell Barn, will highlight an interesting variety of beverages produced in Florida, emphasizing the agricultural products used in the making.

Sip is sponsored in part by Flagler County, Florida Farm Bureau and Florida Dairy Farmers, Inc. This one-day family friendly festival will also have unique vendors, delicious food from Haole & Ono and free kids area. Music provided by VIP Entertainment from 10-1 and Marty McCarrick from 1-4.

No entry fee ~ $18 to Sip. Tickets include a souvenir Sip glass and a tasting token for each Sip beverage vendor. Additional tasting tokens $1 each. No one under 21 will be permitted to sample beverages with alcohol. This is a rain or shine event. Tickets may be purchased online here until 12/6/19.

Wonderful Christmas Gala complete with the lighting of the Ormond Beach Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Gardens. There are mini-train rides for children, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus and visitors buy great Christmas gifts at the Crafts Corner, the Treasure Trove, and the Gourmet Shop. Ice cream and food trucks will also be on hand for hungry Santa’s helpers.

Set to the classical music of the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, the story comes alive at Peabody Auditorium when a young girl Clara receives a magical Nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve from her Uncle Drosselmeyer. As she drifts asleep, in her dream a battle ensues between the army of mice led by the Mouse King and the army of toy soldiers led by her beloved Nutcracker. As Clara helps the Nutcracker to overthrow the Mouse King, a spell is broken and the Nutcracker is transformed back into a Prince. To thank Clara for her bravery, the Prince takes her on a journey through an enchanted Snow Forest where they meet a majestic Snow Queen. Traveling through the swirling snowflakes, Clara and her Prince arrive to the Kingdom of Sweets. The beautiful Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier greet them with sweet confections from exotic lands of Arabia, Spain, Russia, France, and China.

A special twist: come and see the Peabody’s lobby transformed into a magical Toy Shop where patrons can purchase unique Nutcracker gifts and indulge in sweet delights from the breathtaking Kingdom of Sweets Shoppe.

Fantasy Lights Festival
Central Park, 975 Central Avenue, Palm Coast- November 30 thru December 30, 2019, 6:30-9:00 pm.

The 14th Annual Fantasy Lights Festival by the Rotary Club of Flagler County and Presenting Sponsor, Advent Health-Flagler, opens on Saturday, November 30th with the City of Palm Coast’s Tree Lighting Ceremony.  Food will be available for purchase but the event is FREE.  The opening night event begins at 6:00 p.m., while 6:30 is the starting time for all other nights except one.  Another special night that begins at 6:00 is the Taste of the Holidays, that will be held on Thursday, December 5th.  This night features more than a dozen local restaurants serving their specialties for $1-$3 portions.

Forty-nine animated, dazzling light displays surround the Central Park Lake for a ½ mile walking tour that is free to the public (with courtesy golf carts available for handicapped or elderly visitors).  Donations accepted to support Rotary’s charitable donations to non-profit causes and eradication of polio world-wide.  Performances by local singers and musicians on several nights as well as SNOW on weekends, Santa’s Merry Train Ride, and Elf Houses for the kiddies to enjoy.  Santa himself will be  there every Sunday before Christmas!  Bruster’s Real Ice Cream will have a food truck nightly serving hot chocolate, marshmallows for roasting and their usual drinks and food.

The City of Palm Coast’s Holiday Parade route will pass around Central Park on Saturday, December 14th.  For more information on performance schedules, please visit Rotary’s website at www.flaglerrotary.org.  Don’t miss Flagler County’s premier holiday event!

This holiday season, the “World Center of Racing,” will transform for the third year in-a-row into a holiday wonderland with the Magic of Lights™.
A portion of the proceeds from the Magic of Lights will benefit AdventHealth Foundation in Volusia/Flagler Counties.

The experience will include a drive behind the Ticket and Tours building, through the state-of-the-art motorsports facility and conclude in the Midway display area outside the facility. The Magic of Lights entrance is located at the intersection of International Speedway Boulevard and Bill France Boulevard.

Join Gold Star Ballroom every Saturday night for a dance lesson taught by local instructors. (Social Ballroom, Latin and Swing) The party starts with a fun group class from 7 – 8 p.m., followed by general dancing from 8:00 – 10:30 p.m.

Every second and fourth Saturday, the dances are hosted by the USA Dance Chapter #6026.

Admission is $10, members, ($15 non members) Gold Star Ballroom is a beautiful ballroom with a friendly atmosphere and commitment to providing each individual with a quality dance experience.

Join them for Practice Nights on Thursday at 7 – 8:30 p.m. and is only $5. Requests are welcome. Meet with friends to practice in a casual atmosphere.
