2019 celebrates the 9th Plein Air Paint Out in New Smyrna Beach

This year 25 of the finest professional artists will come together to paint our coastal seascapes, dune habitats, lagoon, marinas and the unique and historic scenes of our charming community. 

Artists paint in and around New Smyrna Beach daily from dawn through the evening. All event locations/addresses are in New Smyrna Beach.
Wet Gallery is open daily Tuesday through Saturday; see schedule below for specific hours. It is located at AWI/MDC, 520 Barracuda Blvd.
The public is welcome to visit the free art demonstrations, where each artist discusses his/her art while painting. BRING CHAIRS!Audience is encouraged to ask questions.
Community Quick Draw participation (see Saturday entry) is open to the public

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise stated.

Enjoy learning about old Florida pioneer history while visiting Gamble Place, on the National Register of Historic Places. Once the winter home of James N. Gamble, of the Procter and Gamble Company, Gamble Place is adjacent to Cracker Creek, and is surrounded by an associated 175-acre nature preserve.

Museum of Arts and Sciences Continuing Exhibits 

Continuing Exhibits: The Root Family Museum, featuring Coca-Cola© memorabilia and other Americana; the Cuban Foundation Collection; Frischer Sculpture Garden; Anderson C. Bouchelle Gallery for International Decorative Arts; Kim A. Klancke, M.D., and Marsha L. Klancke Environmental Education Complex in Tuscawilla Preserve; Schulte Gallery of Chinese Art; Helene B. Roberson Visible Storage Building; The Giant Ground Sloth; The Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum, the first hands-on science center in Volusia County, featuring more than 9,000 square feet of interactive exhibits.

Museum Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday – Saturday) and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Sunday).   Museum admission is $12.95 adults; $6.95 children 6‐17; $10.95 seniors and students; members and children 5 and under are free. 

One planetarium show is included with the purchase of your admission ticket to the Museum of Arts & Sciences. Additional Planetarium Shows: $5 adults, $3 children. Monday – Friday Showtimes are 1 – 4 p.m.; Saturday Showtimes are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. & Sunday Showtimes are 12 – 4 p.m.

Planetarium and laser shows daily. Parking is free.

Admission is FREE for Volusia County residents the first Tuesday of each month. MOAS is fully accessible to the handicapped.
