Chalk Artists are invited to participate in the 2nd Annual Chalk It Up! Sidewalk Chalk Art Competition to be held February 23, 2019 on Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach in conjunction with the City of New Smyrna’s 57th Annual Art Fiesta. The many Art Fiesta attendees will delight in strolling along Canal Street to view the chalk creations. The chalk artists will begin at the intersection of Canal Street and Sams Avenue in New Smyrna Beach, extending West along Canal Street.

Museum of Arts and Sciences Continuing Exhibits 

Continuing Exhibits: The Root Family Museum, featuring Coca-Cola© memorabilia and other Americana; the Cuban Foundation Collection; Frischer Sculpture Garden; Anderson C. Bouchelle Gallery for International Decorative Arts; Kim A. Klancke, M.D., and Marsha L. Klancke Environmental Education Complex in Tuscawilla Preserve; Schulte Gallery of Chinese Art; Helene B. Roberson Visible Storage Building; The Giant Ground Sloth; The Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum, the first hands-on science center in Volusia County, featuring more than 9,000 square feet of interactive exhibits.

Museum Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Monday – Saturday) and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Sunday).   Museum admission is $12.95 adults; $6.95 children 6‐17; $10.95 seniors and students; members and children 5 and under are free. 

One planetarium show is included with the purchase of your admission ticket to the Museum of Arts & Sciences. Additional Planetarium Shows: $5 adults, $3 children. Monday – Friday Showtimes are 1 – 4 p.m.; Saturday Showtimes are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. & Sunday Showtimes are 12 – 4 p.m.

Planetarium and laser shows daily. Parking is free.

Admission is FREE for Volusia County residents the first Tuesday of each month. MOAS is fully accessible to the handicapped.

Daytona Beach Beer & Bacon Tour

Beer and Bacon go together like nothing else! Its really the perfect combo and we are bring both to Beach Street! 

Head to downtown and hit Beach Street on Saturday, February 23rd for the Daytona Beach Beer and Bacon Tour from 1pm to 6pm! Make your way from stop to stop tasting multiple different types of beer or stick to your favorite! Along the way, hit the bacon stops to try unique twists on the best dish, BACON! Stops will offer bite size Bacon dishes at bite sizes prices.

Bacon and Beer tour passports are $20 and includes a souvenir Beer Tasting mug, passport with the list of all beers offered at each location, a map showing where each stop is for both beer and bacon, plus 20 beer tasting tickets. Beer tastings range from 1 ticket to 4 tickets depending on the beer and you can spend those beer tickets how ever you wish! Bacon stops will have bacon cooked up in new ways at additional cost per item, but these bite size dishes are at bite size prices!

Get your passports here and pick them up the day of the event a the “Start Here” tents located on Beach Street at the corner of International Speedway Blvd!

Wine Walk in New Smyrna Beach
Flagler Avenue- Every 4th Saturday, 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. (Except June- June 29, 2019)

The Flagler Avenue Wine Walk is a monthly progressive wine tasting event that happens the fourth Saturday of the month from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m. This event features over 100 showcased wines from host locations along Flagler Avenue.

Wine tasting passports are $30 and are available at Exit Realty (Flagler & Peninsula), at the tent at Flagler Avenue and Cooper Street, or at the corner of Peninsula Drive and Flagler Avenue. Passports include 20 tasting tickets and a keepsake wine glass. Some locations feature both one- and multi-ticket wines to sample. Those who want to share their 20 tasting tickets with a friend may get an additional wine glass for $5.  Flagler Avenue will NOT be closed for this event which takes place inside sponsor locations.

This is a CASH event. Passport sales start at 12 p.m. and end at 5:30 p.m., the day of the event.
