Once the winter home of James N. Gamble, of the Procter and Gamble Company, Gamble Place is adjacent to Cracker Creek, and is surrounded by an associated 175-acre nature preserve. The Racing History Bus Tour
Living Legends of Auto Racing Museum- Friday, February 15, 2019, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.

If you love racing history then jump on board the racing history Bus tour. Friday, February 15th The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse will be one of the awesome stops on the history tour Friday, February 15th, 2019. Participants will board the bus at the Living Legends of Racing Museum at 8:00 am.

Highlights of the tour include the NASCAR Archives, The Streamline Hotel, The Ormond Garage Replica and Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, Volusia County’s very own National Historic Landmark. Included in the bus tour are over 40 different racing landmarks, interesting facts and stories and enjoy lunch at the Shores Resort and Spa on A1A.

Mondays – Fridays, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Enjoy a tour of the legendary educator and Civil Rights Activist Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune’s historic home. Built in 1904, it was her home from 1914 until her passing in 1955. Stop in to walk in the footsteps of the legendary leader. Tours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment.

Free, but donations are accepted to support the work of the historic home.

Museum of Arts and Sciences Continuing Exhibits 

Continuing Exhibits: The Armory featuring Napoleonic weaponry; the Root Family Museum, featuring Coca-Cola© memorabilia and other Americana; the Cuban Foundation Collection; Frischer Sculpture Garden; Anderson C. Bouchelle Gallery for International Decorative Arts; Kim A. Klancke, M.D., and Marsha L. Klancke Environmental Education Complex in Tuscawilla Preserve; Schulte Gallery of Chinese Art; Helene B. Roberson Visible Storage Building; The Giant Ground Sloth; Celestial Charts from the MOAS Collection; The Charles and Linda Williams Children’s Museum, the first hands-on science center in Volusia County, featuring more than 9,000 square feet of interactive exhibits.

One planetarium show is included with the purchase of your admission ticket to the Museum of Arts & Sciences. $5 adults, $3 children. Monday – Thursday Showtimes are 1 – 4 p.m.; Friday Showtimes are 1 – 5 p.m.; Saturday Showtimes are 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. & Sunday Showtimes are 12 – 4 p.m.

Museum Hours are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. (Monday – Saturday) and 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. (Sunday).   Museum admission is $12.95 adults; $6.95 children 6‐17; $10.95 seniors and students; members and children 5 and under are free. 

Planetarium and laser shows daily. Parking is free.

Admission is FREE for Volusia County residents the first Tuesday of each month. MOAS is fully accessible to the handicapped.

Join us for a two-day symposium with Washington, D.C.- based clinicians, David Kaplan, M.D., and Stephanie Mayer-Sattin, Music Educator, to unlock a healthy balance of mind and body. These insightful workshops combine the power of the brain’s neuroplasticity, Qigong and Tai Chi to help achieve an optimal state of wellness and performance in your life. The symposium is intended to engage students, faculty, medical practitioners, mental health providers, physical therapists, sports medicine professionals, athletes, performing artists, and the community at large.
