Volusia County Government and Daytona International Speedway are again partnering to bring this iconic race to the community. Named one of the seven scenic half marathons in America by Active.com, this is one of the most unique courses in the running world. The 2019 event will feature a new half marathon route, as well as new challenge opportunities with the addition of a Saturday afternoon beach run. The 13.1 mile race again offers runners the opportunity to start on the famed tri-oval track of the Daytona International Speedway and run to the hard-packed sands of the beach, where racing got its name. New for 2019, the race will finish at ONE DAYTONA, directly across from Daytona International Speedway, where runners will celebrate with drinks, food and awards! 2019 will also expand festivities over two days, with the addition of a 5K— an out and back on the beach Saturday afternoon. The Beachin’ It 5K will be followed by a beach party and bonfire. This is a one-of-a-kind weekend you won’t want to miss!

Volusia Beer Week
February 1 – 10, 2019, various locations & times, check event schedule

DeLand Beer Festival was started in 2010 by two local beer enthusiasts, Todd Carpenter and Vinnie Morrissey.

With an attendance of around 450 people, the first DeLand Beer Festival included a large component of public education focusing on craft beer brands.  Since then the event has expanded to encompass an entire week devoted to craft beer in Volusia County with nearly 5000 people attending beer week events.

Volusia Beer Week started in 2013 and has hosted events from Ormond Beach to Sanford. Events include pint nights, special bottle releases, rare and limited draft releases, art and music events, beer dinners and brunches, beer tastings, meet the brewer events, educational sessions, a homebrew competition and the signature event, DeLand Beer Festival.

DeLand Beer Festival is celebrating 10 Years of bringing craft, culture, and community to Volusia County.

This year’s Volusia Beer Week Premier Events include the Drink Volusia Bus Tour, Brews and Bowties, and DeLand Beer Festival.  Volusia Beer Week started as a way to benefit our community and we continue to support the community that supports us.  One hundred percent of the proceeds from these Premier Events support Volusia County charities including MainStreet DeLand Association, a 501c3 charity dedicated to supporting and enhancing the economic development of Historic Downtown DeLand while protecting and promoting DeLand’s historic heritage. To date Volusia Beer Week events have raised nearly a quarter million dollars for local charities.
