Speaking of flip flops, did you ever wonder how they became all the rage? Flip flops have been around for six thousand years and were first depicted on Egyptian murals around 4000 BC. They began appearing in America in the 1950s when soldiers brought back Japanese zori (similar to flip flops) as souvenirs. Since then, the designs have changed flip flops have become a pervasive part of Florida beach style, and you’ll even find them on some high fashion runways!
