Each year, our area attracts 8.3 million visitors, who spend more than $4.8 billion in our local economy. Visitors are a vital part of our area’s economic picture, but not just because of the money they spend here.
Our visitors provide credible, personal recommendations on the Daytona Beach area that draw friends and family members to visit as well. They bring a wealth of diverse ideas to the area and they often move their homes and their business here. The Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (DBACVB)is a not-for-profit organization, through which public and private sectors have unified to market the area known as the Halifax Area or Daytona Beach area as a desirable destination for business and vacation travelers. The Daytona Beach Area is a geographic marketing region that encompasses the following areas:

Holly Hill
Ormond Beach
Ormond-By-The-Sea
Ponce Inlet
South Daytona
The CVB is responsible for the advertising and promotion of the Daytona Beach area as a tourism destination. The CVB works with area tourism and hospitality-related businesses, non-profit organizations, and event promoters to represent the area to potential travelers, tour operators, travel agents, meeting planners, and the travel media. The Daytona Beach Area CVB works under the direction of the Halifax Area Advertising Authority (HAAA), which is an 11-member board appointed by members of the Volusia County Council. The CVB maintains a staff of approximately 21 full time marketing and administration professionals, which acts in accordance with initiatives outlined by HAAA.

Filled with family-style recreation, attractions and entertainment, the Daytona Beach area offers 23 miles of beaches and plenty of fun. The communities that comprise the Daytona Beach area include Ormond-By-The-Sea, Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Daytona Beach Shores, Wilbur-By-The-Sea, Ponce Inlet, Holly Hill and South Daytona. The beach itself has an ocean park atmosphere, with friendly beach vendors offering everything from hot dogs and sodas to boogie boards and bicycles. Beyond the beach, visitors will find great downtown and oceanfront shopping, dining and entertainment options, plus world-class festivals and events. From Daytona Lagoon water park and the All Access Speedway Tours at Daytona International Speedway — to a wide range of museums, historical attractions and nightlife, there’s always plenty to see and do.
